I became a baseball fan because of my husband Ray's contagious excitement. Even though I am still learning about baseball, here is how I perceive this sport. Starting with the word "game," often associated with children, baseball transcends age. It's a game that revolves around the right throw, hit, and catch of a magic ball.

Yes, baseball is for everyone, where two teams come together in a game to secure "safe" and reach "home" for more buddies than the opposing team. This unfolds over 9 innings, with each team taking turns to go home. The starting team is called the top, and the other is the bottom.

The team on-turn strives to send its buddies running to as few bases as possible, ideally completing a "homerun" in one go. They send their players home by hitting a magic ball far away from their opponents, allowing their buddies to jump to four safe bases. Meanwhile, the opposing team tries to stop them by catching the magic ball in the air or by sending the batter back to the starting point with a touch of the magic ball.

The winner is the team that safely brings home the most players.

In our modern world, diversity is inevitable, and just like in baseball, a social group or organization can take advantage of its richness. As individuals, we can take the opportunity to learn and feel comfortable navigating in a social group. Similar to baseball, integrating talents is like hitting a "home-run." It's a celebration of unique abilities coming together for a collective win.
